The poet I was glad RG introduced me to was the fellow who wrote about Sam McFee.Auntie Jane (It is official!)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15723188056728056025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103145702479253134.post-15719327978939882362013-12-11T12:38:47.553-08:002013-12-11T12:38:47.553-08:00A diva must always be surrounded by beautiful flow...A diva must always be surrounded by beautiful flowers, and Miss Zoey is no exception. :DJadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16128296251117227112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103145702479253134.post-951348327870141122013-12-10T11:48:54.684-08:002013-12-10T11:48:54.684-08:00Brandi, I have been visiting Speedy, and, about th...Brandi, I have been visiting Speedy, and, about those salmon, he has pointed out that you are correct. He was not hurt, just stunned. He had attacked the cat, and when the cat finally stopped running for it's 7th or 8th life, it gave that bird a good whack and ran away. Having been just a girl and not knowing a damned thing about anything, I picked up the bird hoping to nurse it back to health.
I brought the demon creature into the house, where my stepdad was watching t.v. In true redneck prophetic fashion, and without even looking up, he tells me that I will be "hatin' life when that bird comes 'round".
He was a big, healthy, strapping specimen of bluejay, and when he did find his bearings, I was lucky that he went for my hands first, and not my eyeballs.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03668536312354596535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103145702479253134.post-51242246005606870512013-12-10T07:22:35.624-08:002013-12-10T07:22:35.624-08:00RG, we really appreciate the education, and of cou...RG, we really appreciate the education, and of course the lovely pictures that just happen to feature sweet little bunnies. I wanted to thank you for getting me to look into your poet. I know we are a discouraging lot...never heard of this...don't like that...which brings me back to your poet. Remember the part about the grain of sand? He lived quite a life. I hope you can reach out to CGP, and save her from a benightedness that is wrenching especially at this time of holiday joy, and so as not to neglect the holly controversy, I would like to add that our birds would never eat the berries. This raises a lot of questions about holly species, and, of course, the real question...what is it with the blue jays in Oklahoma?Auntie Jane (It is official!)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15723188056728056025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103145702479253134.post-51919888831849650172013-12-10T04:51:04.740-08:002013-12-10T04:51:04.740-08:00...been thinking about it...
I love the festive lo......been thinking about it...
I love the festive look of holly, and it is so pretty when powdered with snow.
But it is VERY painful with those spiky leaves.
We have a holly tree in our front yard. When we moved in, there lived the world's meanest, loudest, meanest bluejay EVER in that tree.
So what came first? The painful leaves or the crankiness?
I have not seen him around in a while. Maybe his wife murdered him in his sleep????Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03668536312354596535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103145702479253134.post-64173740411751851682013-12-10T00:30:35.180-08:002013-12-10T00:30:35.180-08:00I've hear many Christmas songs but never Have ...I've hear many Christmas songs but never Have a Holly Golly Christmas.

Zoe is adorable, as ever, Crafty Green Poethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02486633917197181851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103145702479253134.post-77346516414594228482013-12-09T23:04:06.561-08:002013-12-09T23:04:06.561-08:00That is a scary song.
