"THEY ARE BACK ....
.... we got to go outside. Whoop-de-doo." - Lucky
"Aww - we missed you all immensely Clucker! We also had a good time. BL got the biggest fish! A 5# 20 inch small-mouth bass. On a No. 8 hook and worm - which is REAL small! We measured it and let it go - the lake NEEDS it!"
"We caught 135 fish (mostly small blue gills - 5 of us fishing off and on) and ate them ALL!"
"My Dad is 92 + and here he is getting snuggled by BL while driving his pontoon boat "The Kermudgeon" - which was our fishing platform!"
"Us on the Lake Michigan beach at Empire - a favorite place."
"We had a fun time and are glad to be back home. Maybe some more pix on a later post. Will catch up on all the blogs soon." (@Karen - we saw the Schooners but spent most of our time a bit south of TC on Silver Lake in my brother's place and fishing from The Kermudgeon. Another brother lives near Interlochen, Big Sis lives across the street from Bryant Park, and little Sis lives near the Bay a bit north of Elk Rapids. Dad lives in what I think is called Bay Meadows just off Silver Lake Rd. Wonderful weather.)
(PS - A HUGE Thanks to FOTA (RenoRabbits) for wonderful bunny care.)

Toey of Zoey!
Indeed a royal foot. I bet the slipper fits!
"OK folks. BL and RG are off for several days - going to Traverse City, Michigan - where lives RG's 92 year old Dad and his (RG's) 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Staying in a lake-front summer cottage of one of the Bro's and fishing with whoever wants to go. The Old Dad has a nice pontoon boat for that and enjoys a libation in the afternoon on the deck. Not sure of the I-net opportunities - this might be it until September 18. FOTA (Friend Of The Animals) at RenoRabbits will do most of the heavy bunny-and-KB care, with help from a bunch of good friends. Adios for now." - RG
(How about these Bat Toes???? Found the guy hanging around in the barn the other day!)

(You folks being shaken, toasted, flooded and now in the path of Irene - hunker down!)

"I'M NOT TIPSY ...
... I'm not stumbling. I can walk and hop just fine. I was just -a- just -a-a -peeking in the door! Yes - just peeking in. I was NOT in there." - Zoey

"NOW - IF I CAN FIGURE THIS THING OUT ....
(We usually go crabbing between the oil-refinery docks and Cap Sante just out of Anacortes. Traps are about 2 feet by 2 feet by one foot with little in-opening doors for the crabs to enter. There are tiny slots for under-sized ones to escape. We put chicken in wire-mesh bait boxes hooked to the bottom. About 75 feet of rope - water is about 60 feet deep there. Each licensed person can have two traps down. Leave them down for about 45 minutes. Generally they are FULL of small and female Dungeness crabs with one or two big males in there as well! The season and limits are managed to assure a good supply. Recreational season is mid-July through September, 5 days a week. There is a big commercial catch here too, at a different time of the year. The whole exercise drives BL nutso!)
