BRIGHTNESS, EVEN WITH THE DARK ....

Racer is so inspirational!
(And so darned cute!)

Went to Mr. Twister again today (twice a week for about an hour) ... he says I'm making progress. There are about 12 different "exercises" I am to do at home, twice a day. Today he added three more! I'm pretty disciplined, I keep a log, I've done them all, regularly, for 13 days now. I asked him if people really did do them all, regularly; there being so many and people so busy. He said he didn't want to tell me. But I kept at it and he finally told me that usually if there are more than three different exercises, people won't do them! .... wowzer .... I should be 100% limber in that shoulder in no time!

Any of you all there ever have physical therapy? Were you the three or none type?

My mom had PT for her shoulder. Not sure how many exercises she did, but she definitely did them faithfully!

I believe it when you say that more than 3 is more than many people will do. I think people sometimes believe it's the professional's job to fix them, and that it's like taking a car into the shop--when they come out, it's all fixed.

I was only so-so about following my PT's recommendations, but I also wasn't impaired in the sense that I couldn't do any of my normal stuff. Level of impairment definitely makes a difference.

I've never been through PT.. but if I were in PT, I think I'd try to do as many exercises as possible just to make sure I heal as well and as fast as possible :D

Never had PT, but my chiropractor is one to give lots of stretches, I am pretty good about doing them, in fact they work so well I'm afraid to not do them! Congrats on your shoulder, better than new soon!

I've never had to do PT, but I think I would listen to what they told me too! Keep it up RG and you'll be back to normal in no time!

I had PT for my back and knee, I can't remember exactly how many exercises I had, but it was a lot. I did them everyday though since I really needed my back to get better.

When I've been in a crisis, yes I've been good.

But not for lifetime: I have a very simple foot exercise that if I do it every day my ankle tendon never goes out and I never have to be on crutches.

One exercise. It probably takes 90 seconds, tops.

I never do it.
