He got up this morning with thick, grainy urine and obvious discomfort. It seems like too much calcium but he gets the same diet as the other guys and they are all OK.He went for a check and an ultrasound and got one of those "sub-Q" water doses .. he is going to get one a day for three more days, plus anti-biotics in case it's an infection and metacam for pain. The "sub-Q" process we have done before ourselves, but not for a long time so, thankfully, a good friend will come and do it on the weekend. Poor Chico ... poor us. Chico and BL are VERY close.
As to the pie and crust .... you buy the Pillsbury crust in a box in the chill section of the grocery store and follow the recipe on the box! Except before baking you brush milk on the top crust and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Put one of those aluminum crust-edge protectors on it so that part doesn't get too done.

Sigh. I HATE taking antibiotics. Craig always holds me down while Heather forces me to take it. Hang in there Chico! Maybe the medicine comes with a treat. That's the only way I'll comply.
FYI - I NEVER thought I would have a conversation with a bunny. (Me, a house kitty!)
Oh Chico, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Ask your mom and dad to get you some organic pumpkin seeds. We use those for our buns to help with thick and sludgey pee. I will be thinking of you!

i have to burrito my animals too when they get their meds, although the ones that have needed subcutaneous fluids (sub-q?) have been very good about it, surprisingly. but the chinchillas are excellent at escaping their burritos...
