MY TREAT ......

I went driving on my own today .. first time in six weeks! I did OK, can't really do much with my left arm, but one good arm and a knee to hold the wheel while I'm getting a better grip for a tight turn works. I did signal with my wipers a few times before my brain got those levers right.
Soooooooo ... in celebration this is my treat from Bunny Lady!!! Made with an apple we just found called Pacific Rose .. mighty tasty. Usually very pricey but someone had a special!

Baxter does not care for pie, but he and all the bunns go joyful for that Pacific Rose apple!
Every time I see Bax I think what a great guy he is. A big mini-lop, someone found him, shabby, dirty, and tired, wandering in a street. So we don't know for sure how old he is. He is totally content, he'll just lay on your lap for hours ... it's like he has seen and experienced a whole lot of life and now warm, fed, cuddled and cared for is quite plenty. Like a wise old man. I learn quite a bit from Baxter. I am sure he's been in bonds and maybe gold, but not stocks lately! He no doubt has some fine old cognac and a few Cuban cigars laid in as well!

Baxter is a fine looking bunn. He and Driftwood from Gorgie Farm would definitely have lots to talk about, two lops with difficult early lives, both now happy...

We'll have to try that Pacific Rose apple, if we ever find it around here. We both LOVE apples!

We're glad you're getting stronger. Baxter looks like a wise soul!

Baxter was looking for the luxury bunny resort and he found it, what a fine fellow he is. Congrats on driving, good to be mobile, if slightly impaired. That pie looks so good! What's BLs crust recipe? Tell her I drove yesterday, but can wait a couple days for my pie, if she's busy.

I'm sitting here, an hour away from lunch, and I did not need to see that delicious pie! Lucky RG!

Baxter looks so sweet and wise. He's a very fortunate critter to have found his way to your home.

I'll try to make sure I'm not driving in the same location as you! :-)

Baxter looks a bit like Smokey but I am sure he is not as grumpy as her...one day I'll tell her story too. Snuggles to Baxter, and...hmm...pie!! I agree, we need the recipe, I am sure it is very different from the English apple pie.
