I think that Winston's ears show that he likes to keep his cards and his thoughts close to his vest and that you have to work a little to engage him--he's something of an enigma. But underneath it all, he's a softy.

I agree with Glenna, black downward ears are quite a formal look, but with some encouragement he'll let his hare down....
