BAXTER AND LOVEY ...

Friends visiting in August, 2004 when we had first gotten Baxter and Lovey. (Our deck still allowed for people chairs!)
Thank you everyone - so many of you! - for the kind words and thoughts. I know many of you have had a similar experience - it never gets easier. But we'll get on and along, as will Zoey. We'll be feeling better shortly.

On a lighter note, BL has had another column printed and you can look at it via the "Bunny Lady's Columns" link to the right under "Websites".

The passage of time usually makes it easier to cope. I like the sentiment expressed in this work:

To live in this world

you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it

against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.

Wow, Fab Furs ... where do you come up with these things? It's beautiful.

I'm still trying to cope with little Hef's behavior which I just learned about. And Lisa's explanation.

One thing I know for sure: people who love bunnies are truly special people who feel things that most other people don't even have a clue about. (hanging preposition and all)

We are all here for such a short time but loving and being loved make that time special. Baxter was very special.

We loved BL's column. Yummmmm...now we're hungry for crab! (Except Freckles would just prefer the chives.)
