"A FAN AND SOME SHADE ...

... I think I can make it!"  -  Benji the Cool.

Yellow Swallowtail

80 degrees F. plus here Thursday and Friday.  No air conditioning.  We'll be spending time here when the sun moves around the side of the house.  Send some breeze.

Don't forget frozen bottles of water for those babies to lean against. Add some frozen berries to their water crocks. Definately keep the fan on them!!

Very nice spot to weather the weather! :)

Benji looks like he's enjoying the breeze!

We got a break here in Texas, and it feels like fall! It will only be 93 today. That is amazing for mid-August! Nice treat!

bb: I lived in New Hampshire for a bit and it hit 80s and people were dying of heat ... I was wearing sweats! The building where I work left the A/C on "seasonal" so it's like 60 in here today ... brrrrrrrr.... In Texas, for all those of you in the rest of the country ... Buildings don't normally put in heaters ... maybe a few vents around the windows, but not in the interior of the building ... we just turn OFF the A/C in the winter during the cool fronts ...

Well, I'm glad all the bunnies on this blog are kept safe from the elements, whatever end of the spectrum applies! :) Benji looks like he's getting a breeze on his bum! :)

I suspect we here in Oklahhoma will not just have winds come sweeping down the plains, but some ice and subfreezing temps this winter. When the summer is rough, the winters are rough. WE get LOTS of ice, big black sheets on the roads, a nice inch thick casing of it on trees and power lines and it will completely encapsulate a vehicle! I love Oklahoma winters...
It's chili, stew, soup, casserole, roasted meat and baking weather!!
I read a blog last night that had featured German cuisine. DUDE!!! It was KILLING ME! All the food looked AWESOME!

Benji, you are too cool not to stay cool. Hope all the extended warren is managing as well. If you will tell your servants about something for me they can research it more on some electronic device while relaxing in the lovely, last pictured tableau. What I wanted you to tell them is that a very early queen of Egypt, Hetepheres (there is, I think some controversy about which Hetepheres) owned a set of silver bracelets with inlaid butterflies. Very oddly, this potent symbol of transformation and rebirth is very rare in ancient Egyptian iconography.

I remember the ice storms bb! I used to cut bricks out of the ice on the lawn and make igloos. We built stuff out of ice blocks much like kids in other parts of the country might make a snowman... and if you live on a hill, better put rocks around your car or it will be at the bottom of the hill in the morning ... all piled with the rest of the cars in the neighborhood ... blown down the hill ... sorry to hijack Benji's spotlight ... OK childhood ... not for the faint of heart!

HOR rabbits always look cool and relaxed, no troubles in the world. That is how it should be for ALL bunnies.

You can have our breeze. You can have our cold summer. You can have our excessive rain if you want it. In exchange we want your rabbits!

Our rabbits for some decent weather? "Ah, there's the rub."(famous line from British literature) "A rabbit for a rabbit". (slightly altered quote from Abrahamic tradition)

Over 90 here today in our neck of the woods. My house inside is 86 at 8:30 PM. I can only tolerate a couple days of this. Clovie and the cat too.
