The heat got the peaches ripe. They are Frost peaches and usually kind of mushy. The good peaches don't grow here.
What the heck - make a cobbler!
This weekend - back to normal temps. Yay!
One house, Two people, Five Rabbits! (Oh - and a cat.)

Oh Chico, you could cool down nicely if you came to Edinburgh!
The peach cobbler looks delicious!
Oh CHico! I hate thinking of you HOR rabbits all hot and miserable. What is the temp today, RG?
Oh and OMG!!! RG!!!! Is there anything you DON'T grow at HOR???? UGH! Dying for peaches now!!!! No fair no fair! Cool summers, lots of rain, gorgeous rabbits, beautiful flowers and butterflies... you are the 1% RG. LOL. I'm moving!
Chico is so cute! How can anyone look at that precious face and not just melt? I haven't had good peaches since I was kid in Oklahoma eating them right off the tree! We have some peach and pear trees on the "farm" in Oklahoma now, but between the droughts and the freak freezes and the heat last year, they don't produce anything anymore ... they're in shock. Last year, they had tiny (about an inch in diameter) pears on them but the pears stayed hard as a rock and then fell off. :(
Pears are a pain in the butt. You have to keep them pruned or ten thousand little pears pop up and they are only good as horseapples and throwing them at each other. I miss the apricots in New Mexico!
It is BLACK outside!!! My room is completely dark. Storms-a-comin'! I want to hide with Chico in his hidey box...
Chico - just because you asked so nice, I will make the tempreture go down tomorrow!
I feel your pain, my little furry brother, It was 42C (108F) in my apartment the other day. Freddie Gerbil was lying on the ice cubes I put in his cage to drink from to cool down. When a desert mouse is whining he's hot..
Fortunately we in the pacific north-wet only get two weeks of summer and its almost over!
*Steals a Chico snuggle*
That cobbler looks so wonderful, it would be worth the trip across the country to taste it! Yum!
Poor Chico--hot weather and fur coats just don't mix, do they?
Mick's predecessor, Karnage, loved a nice bath when the weather was warm--it cooled him off and removed any loose hair.
His Majesty, on the other hand, thinks baths are for peasants and is very lucky to have the benefit of AC because his fur is so thick (and if I could shave him, I would).
Where is the cat? I have not seen the cat. Cats don't like peaches or cobbler no matter how lovely or scrumptious they look. Could we give the cat a little attention, please? Is that too much to ask? Oh yeah, and who made the cobbler?
Good enough for peach cobbler. YUM YUM! Looking good Cheeks....exercise squatters rights.
The peaches look beautiful. The cobbler is making me hungry. It must be delicious. Chico is totally adorable as always.
