RACER'S FOLLY!

"Folly, Schmolly.  I'm sailing off to see Speedy and have an adventure.  We are going to pillage and plunder.  I just need some breeze and the tide to rise." - Salty Racer.  "I'm back here digging to China Racer, but no water yet."  -  Benji the Helpful.

"Some pretty crocosmia to remind me to do the BIG Garlic Braid drawing - winner announced Sunday evening.  9 entrants!  Wow.  No hard feelings now - this is all totally on the up and up."  -  RG the Nervous.

OMgosh, that scene is so cute. Love the sails, RG!
I have had a crap week, but now it is Saturday morning, I am awake but groggy and I am so happy reading all the bunny blogs and seeing all the babies.
I think Benji likes the IDEA of adventure, but is a home-body and is secretly pleased that Racer can never quite catch the tide...

But, bb, you are a poet. Perhaps trying weeks are required for your incredible genius to breach the dam that would keep it contained forever denied to us? Then again I simple "sorry" might serve the purpose better. Any news on the prospective family member?

I don't think it is too late for you to enter TS. RG said the winner of the drawing wasn't going to be announced until Sunday evening. Oh, and by the way, don't worry about us, RG. Your bunnies are pirates and renegades off to meet up with foreign agitators and your flower of the day's name calls to mind crocodiles, but I think speak for all the entrants when I say this has been a lot of fun and we will bear the neither the bestower of bounty nor the victor any ill will.

Anonymous, I am officially the mother of three rabbits. My new girl baby is named Minnnie (they named her, it stuck). She is a BIG (compared to my little lionhead and tiny Jersey Woolly!) brown and white lop. She is a nose-bumping baby, too. She is getting on fine with them, but she is not spayed so there are some mild humping issues, and she totaly took over the potty box, so I did seperate them, but it's just with closet cubes and I gave her the big potty box and let the real minnies have a smaller new box. She is rearranging all the cardboard squares and hay in the box. She has not had one before, she just had a wire bottom hutch with hay thrown on top, so I think having her own potty box is a treat. She knew right away to poop and pee in it. Their potty boxes are bumped up against each other with the divider. They are still grooming each other such through the bars. It took me an HOUR with her in my dark bedroom in front of my fan to get her ears to stop radiating all that heat. She loved the fan. Writing too much!!! Read about it later on tonight or tomorrow....

Oh Racer, that sail is so smart and if you catch the right current you might be able to sail all the way round the world to Scotland, it will be a long journey, but we'll be here with treats to greet you!

Racer! ... a trip to Scotland!!! I'm so jealous! Have fun and be safe ... oh, yeah, Pirates don't care about safe ... just adventure!

Yeah for brandi b and Minnie! I'm glad she's not in a hutch anymore! Oklahoma is a brutal place for hutch bunnies! Thank you for saving her!

Once in my life I was present when two little bunns were brought to a forever home. I was sitting midway up some interior steps and the bunnies tore up the steps, but stopped briefly beside me. The look in their eyes was so unmistakably, "We are free now. This is what living is all about. We are free bunnies". The privilege of sharing this revelatory moment with these two little life forms is one of the deeply treasured memories of my life. I wish peace and a kinder world to all that lives. Thank you all for your work.

I never appreciated how precious life was until I had bunnies. I mean, I THOUGHT I did, but nothing brings to sharp focus like loving a rabbit and being a slave to one, or two...now three. I am so happy that you had that moment, Anonymous!
