That IS a cute photo! What dreadful weather we've all been having.
I started out by deciding to run the 10K, which I'll do first (hoping for one in the early fall on Cape Cod) then thought about the Richmond marathon. I figure I have 10 months to train for that. Not sure if it's reasonable, but then, I'm pretty nutty! I'm the least athletic person in the world, so all of this is a pleasant surprise. I agree with your sentiments on the starting line! The biggest problem here for me is not winter but our very humid, hot summer, so we'll see how it goes, but I'm pretty stubborn and determined. I live in an area (near Quantico Marine Base in VA) where practically every family has at least one runner, so we have lots of places to go and lots of resources. And lots of cars with not just the usual 26.2 stickers, but the ultras too. That's inspiring to me.
The bunnies here in Austin are so proud go you, Glenna. They are really rooting for you.
