But also remember that for all the people involved in the accident - at fault or not - and for all those working to repair and clean it up, there are many times more than that who are there to care for the unfortunate animal and human critters who suffer from it - mostly just because they need to do it.
Today RG and a friend saw more than 50 Bald Eagles congregated at the mouth of a small stream that flows from a nearby lake into Puget Sound. No one knew exactly why they were there - the speculation was a run of some newly hatched fish heading for the sea. 15 years ago, seeing two eagles together here was a cause for great rejoicing. With help, they recovered - big time.

Yes, you're very wise Baxter, there are a lot of caring people out there helping the wildlife and things can recover, there are plenty of species in the Uk that are doing a lot better know than they were ten years ago or twenty. But still this oil spill is a huge disaster...
I hope they use it as an opportunity to come up with a better plan so it doesnt happen again. I dont hold out much hope. New Orleans is a city close to my heart that is a truly forgotten place.
Baxter and Zoey are both so wise. And so positive. I'm trying not to be my cynical self and at least hope that people can leave politics behind and cooperate to do what's needed to amegliorate this situation. But when has that really happened? Not since 2001, that I can recall.
Ahh just another reason to party hard at The Bunny Lounge Blowout Bun Bash!
Right on, Zoey! We are so far on the outer limits here, it would be way to easy to do just that.
Well spoken, Baxter!
Ankles is worried about the manatees. She is afraid to look and find out.
