"I HOPE I'M HEADING FOR THE BRITISH ISLES! ...

... Because I am not too sure about steering this thing!" - Racer the - uh - Racer!
"Last thing I heard was something about visiting Speedy and the Crafty Green Poet - and maybe Baby George." - RG the Concerned
An Osprey I managed to photo while it was hovering and looking down into the water.

Not one bit of this bodes well. Does Racer even have his passport? I didn't think so. And that osprey! You just let little Racer sail surf away while you took a picture of the last thing the little bunn is likely to see alive? It is not to be believed.

Watch out for that osprey, Racer--and I hope you brought your lifejacket and some snacks, it's a long trip across that pond!

Racer will be alright without his passport - our lack of custom control has been all over the news recently - do come and visit us if you have them time! We'll make sure you're boat gets restocked for the journey onwards or back. Great picture of the Osprey RG.

I don't know how many times I have almost ended up driving into a ditch watching birds of prey in flight or perched on a tree or powerline. They just send me. Birds are so beautiful.
Jane, Racer was probably alright in the boat. That Osprey was probably so stunned at seeing a rabbit pilot a boat that it had no idea how to respond. Treat it like a fish? Treat it like a rabbit? And who was that Meatball with the camera???
Osprey smelled a set-up and wisely kept flying away.

You know, Brandi, I think you have something there.

Osprey wouldn't harm Racer!

We'll be ready for you Racer, your favourite treats all lined up....

We'll have to rework the nursery rhyme about the owl and the pussycat.

The osprey and the bunny
Went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat...

The osprey wasn't looking at Racer--he was preparing to lift RG into the sky but flew away to get help.

Well, at least the poor bunn has had plenty of previous practice yelling "Coasf Guard!" They are probably tracking him right now. They want to pet that sweet bunny and get some of BL's Stromboli. It is a tough job, but some one has to to do it.

RACER! What on Earth are you doing crossing the ocean?? You better call home and let the HOR know you are safe as soon as you arrive! Does Speedy know to be looking for you? How will we ever know if you made it safely???

Yeah, yeah, all that stuff 6Bs said, Racer. And, and what about the language barrier?

Unknown said...

I have to agree with the language barrier part.
I used to transcribe dictation for a doctor who was from Scotland. At first, his accent was cool and he enunciated nicely for me, spoke slow, etc.
After a bit, he got VERY comfortable with me and that accent got thicker and thicker. I managed somehow to translate, but phew wee it was not easy.
And then there is the Queen's English. Our pudding is their custard, our cookies are their biscuits, our chips are their crisps, our fries are their chips, and they drive on the wrong side of the road, Racer! You stick with Speedy, and be a good Yankee Rabbit!
Be careful, little guy, and Go With God...

And since we are being "international" around here, how'z about some South of the Border Bunny love???
