I wish I could find dried cranberries that did not have added sugar.
Love that Racer nose.

Brandi B, me too! Craisins make messy butts... But, they are like bunny crack! I have never seen such attitude ... except when either getting craisins or NOT getting craisins ...

Racer could have just a few more ... he promisses not to get a messy butt...

Does anyone know if bunnies like fresh cranberries? Is it okay to even give fresh ones to bunnies?

Fresh cranberries would be great for bunnies, IF they would eat them. Depends on the bunny. Also, cranberries might have way too much vitamin c to give too often. That is why it is suggested that guinea pigs and rabbits not share the same food. Guinea pigs need tons of Vit C and rabbits do not.

Come to think of it, the D-mannose in cranberries, which is the active ingredient that protects the walls of the bladder from certain pathogens attaching to the bladder walls and causing UTI's, is available in health food stores, and might be very very beneficial to give bunnies a few times a month.

But fresh cranberries might be too tart for bunnies, although I am sure some bunns like tart flavors. For goodness sake, my bunnies like jalapenos!

Looks pretty good to me, but craisins would make it just right.

This is a really great article and has helped me get an idea about the diet of a rabbit - I am getting a rabbit so trying to learn whats best for them!

So thanks for the ideas!
