"No. 1 Granddaughter is a Junior at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. (Standing in front of the original 1890 building.) I went to visit this weekend.
Besides getting a fine campus tour (beautiful in the fall) with a serious student, I learned (what all young skiers know) how to slice onions tearlessly.
And was supplied with a home-made (on the spot) cider-beef stew ...
... and pumpkin bread with streusel topping - also made on the spot. The world might just turn out OK in the long run." - RG
