The hay is our local grass hay. They usually get two cuttings a year. Mostly it is grown as a cover crop on fields being rotated out of corn/potatos/seed-crops/etc ...
It looks like lovely hay. We buy ours here--very nice smelling and fresh--shipped in from Nevada. $1.50 a pound and worth it because the buns adore it. I did look at timothy seeds for our garden but couldn't figure out if our little plot could grow enough to feed the four.
