"SHALL I GO WITH ...

"Thanks for the froggy tips.  But crickets?  He is just a teeny weeny tree frog.  I dropped two dead flies and a dead spider in there.  I don't know if he ate them.  He may have to be on his own ... there are many plants around him and hopefully some bugs and stuff in there.  We water him in that little tea-candle holder every other day!  Sometimes he sits in it, sometimes he disappears."  -  RG the Stretched-Thin!

Zoey, you are so lovely!

Well, hopefully he can find a few buggie poos. But, crickets... that's what the expert said! :)

I think they prefer live food. I don't think you will have any luck with dead things unfortunately. I think you can get tiny crickets.

Stretched thin? Does that mean no time for Brooming? If you fix a nice cup of tea or maybe that lovely peppermint hot chocolate, sit down and relax, I might promise to drop the "broomer" thing. This must be followed by bunny and BL snuggles, taking shoes off and wiggling toes, picking up a book...and saying ahhh...

Yes, you can get tiny crickets... and I read online that is pretty much all they eat... I would hate for all those crickets to get loose in your house though... maybe get one of those smaller plastic "crates" for hermit crabs and put the froggie in there with his water for a few hours and a whole schmorgesborg of tiny crickets, so he can eat his fill ... then repeat every couple of days ... through the winter ... that might keep you busy ... ha! ...one more animal to take care of ... I know that's all you need, huh?

I don't know if they eat meal worms or not ... but the pet store sells those too for turtles. My turtle used to eat meal works like they were Twizzlers!

Any body want a tree frog? Cheap? Will mail anywhere.

Oh, nooooo! Actually, when my niece adopted her frogs, they came to her overnighted in the mail ... scary ... I will take him if you want to figure out a way to get him here..

Actually, until he hops into that water deal, we can't find him in there. Very well disguised.

Sorry I can't help with the frog. But it provided for a good chuckle.
