Chico wants to remind you all that some in the family are very fond of Maize and Blue and Mayhem in the Big House!
Mostly it's an excuse to show you the very first, ever, edible head of broccoli I have grown. Look at the size of that baby. We had some for dinner - very tender, healthy, organic and tasty! (I think there might be one more out there in the jungle we call a garden.)

Dang, I am jealous. I can kill a rock garden with my not-so-green thumb.
I just L.O.V.E. love fresh raw broccoli, dipped in ranch dressing and then rolled in sunflower seeds...yummy yum.

Oh, I am so sorry everybunn. I have no idea what madness came over me...
very impressive broccoli!
Pompoms! (Including the broccoli).
Outermost House: familiar with them, and always wondered what they did for septic system/waste disposal. (Things like that always fascinate me--the nitty gritty of life). But no, I haven't read it, but should.
The elder care issue. Find a good, solid democratic state for solutions for elders--Massachusetts has wonderful programs in place that Virginia would never dream of doing, i.e. heavily subsidized senior housing--affordable small apartments (30% of the senior's pension/social sec. and include utilities) which overlook a beautiful harbor. Why don't they knock them down (as they would here in VA) and build million dollar condos? Because the town, which owns the housing and the land, feels it's important for the seniors to be able to walk to the store and church, etc. and be part of the community. Here in Metro DC it is a crime to be old and/or poor. But good luck on it: so many variables make it difficult: health, financial, pension, dementia, the closeness of the original ties and the health of the original relationship...
I know what came over Brandi. Her new visitor / OU fan has been whispering in her ear. Go visit her at Voices for Rabbits. RG, about a lifetime ago a group of stellar individuals put together and continued to revise a set of books under the auspices of The Department of Near Eastern Studies, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. With these texts and my gifted professors at UT, life began. I always cheer for Michigan. Your broccoli and flowers are beautiful. The bunnies add just the right touch. I am guessing that The Princess is the college graduate and cheerleader. Let's just forget about the cheerleaders being a sketchy lot comment.
Go Blue! (My alma mater)
I'm actually a Broccoli and Cauliflower (Mich. State) alumni and fan! (Booo Blue ...)
It's gorgeous! Oh my gosh I'm totally impressed. I wish, like really wish I could grow stuff. I suck. Back to sewing. But first I might make some broccoli with hollandaise sauce. Ohhhhhh yeah! ;)
xx
Well, RG, I apologize for sharing my life story with you. I misunderstood. You have a really nice garden, and if you want to call it a jungle you can.
Well, you should hear what BL calls the "garden" ... plus - love those life stories!
Well I'll just sit back and let you guys chat amongst your selves Foot ball doesn't do it for me.but cute bunnies and wonderful flowers and veg does!xx Rachel
