I need some advice about my bunny. Xena the Warrior Bun has decided that she doesn't want her home cleaned. The minute I try to pick up a bit of soiled hay or paper the ears go back, she growls and it's all teeth and claws. The rest of the time she's a real snuggle bunny and jumps into my lap for hugs. What's going on?

dorrie17 ... she is a bunner ... they do not like their stuff messed with ... at all. She's trying to tell you and can't figure out why you are not getting it! You will probably have to put her in temporary digs whil cleaning her area ... then put her back and let her stomp and foot flick to her heart's desire, while you are a safe distance away ...

Main rule of bunners: everything belongs to them and don't mess with it...

Racer, I like your home! It is very nice! I'm glad you have a loving lap to hang out on, too!

Dorrie, This probably isn't about International Rabbit Day. Thanks for the heads up, but we were really lucky, the bunns at the shelter told us it was their day and only they got to celebrate. I remember someone using the expression "dangerous lunatic." S/he said that when s/he cleaned her/his bunny's cage, her/his bunny looked and responded as though s/he was a "dangerous lunatic." I think your Princess must also be very territorial. Does anyone know if it would be better if Xena couldn't see Dorrie while she was doing any of this?

I'd be pretty content too boy. Snuggle time is the best.
