I am going to make apple cake this weekend, but I'll have to use store bought apples, unfortunately. And, in honor of Benji, I will be serving a plate of sliced apples to my bunnies this evening! Give that bunny a kiss for me! And, thank the Baker immensely for the inspiration to bake!

Mmmmmm. Apple cake! Thank you, BL, for the inspiration, since I seem to forget that I can bake and instead live on saltines. Signed, GG, the saltine-eater.

Just to remind everyone of a recent shocking episode in Dougal's young life (slightly modified) - You did what with the apples? From the human point of view, it looks so luscious, tears are coming to my eyes. Maybe Benji should get a little T-shirt that says The Customer got an Apple Cake and I Got a Stick. Well, Benji Boy, at least it wasn't a broom stick.

Yeah ... mine don't like anything mushy except when it's a little cold outside and the floors (where our bunny buddies spend most of their time) are a little chilled from the foundation ... I do heat up some fresh banana and mash it up for them ... they seem to like warm bananananananannanana ... and when it's cold, I wash their morning veggies with warm water ... I can't imagine being a little chilly in the morning and having something cold to eat ... so I don't want my buns to either...

I give my bunnies warm water when it's cold. And give them warm pumpkin soup to prevent wool block. They love warm food when it's cold.
And in the summer, they get frozen veggies like diced peas and carrots.

MM, I bet Benji and the HOR bunns would love sliced apple. But they get very nice salads. BL does right by every creature living in the HOR.

I'll need to wait til autumn to make apple cake, that's when we harvest the apples from the trees in Crafty green boyfriend's parents' garden

I'm sure Benji would love some of that cake...

RG, these posts aren't good for my post-holiday diet.

I haven't been blog reading in ages and just catching up on yours... makes me smile so much. And the stick banging... ah yes... reminds me of Humphrey who used to do something similar with a ceramic bowl against the radiator. VERY LOUD!
