THIS AND THAT ....

There is a small Rabbit show in our town every year on this day. We go to see some friends and maybe hold a bunny or two. Mostly it is hard to see all the bunnies in those little wire cages ...

However .. on the way we saw THIS! ... Mt. Rainier ... which is about 125 miles south of us and almost never visible except in really clear air. This is the first picture I've ever taken of the Mountain from here. Here is Radar ... a Netherlands Dwarf who is 6 months old. Cute little guy, but I just said NO!
We found Laura (Friend Of The Animals from Reno Rabbits) and Dave. They said NO as well. But it was hard!

Anybody else resist a bunny lately???????

I find them so hard to resist but thinking about BDP reminds me that I just have to enjoy them vicariously through my bunny friends' blogs

A rabbit show would be a terrible temptation for me, but I'm pretty good at knowing my limits. Two pets is plenty for me.

we are currently resisting temptation, it helps that i work in a place with resident rabbits, though the small mammals managers know that if the rabbits were to go missing I'd be the first suspect...

One day though we may get another bunny of our very own...

I'd so much like another bunny. I've been told by BF that I may not ask for another for Christmas, even though it would make his Christmas shopping easier. It would have been hard to say no to the bunny you're holding, so I try to stay away from places where there may be adoptable bunnies.

Hef and I very much want to get another bunny but Hef's dad sure is fussy about what one should look like. I saw 2 very cute bunnies at a pet store and according to Hef's dad they were too fat! So the only reason I resist a bunny is because of Hef's dad. Doesn't everyone want baby hefs?

Afraid BF has put a maximum of 2 on the rabbit population here.....Radar sure looks like a cutey! Sometimes I look to see what they have at Rabbit Haven, naughty, naughty me.....

I would love to keep a rabbit but unfortunately it's ILLEGAL to keep them where I live! You can be given a huge fine or even a jail sentence if you're caught, because rabbits are considered pests here. :(

It was hard to leave the little furrball there, but easy to say no to a breeder.

Rabbit Show, kind of another name for animal cruelty.

I'm currently on the look out for a guinea pig....

How could anyone say NO to a face like that??? You have must have amazing will power! Good thing we don't have rabbit shows here.. otherwise I'd be catching up fast with the rabbit count at the House :D

Two in the house is just about the maximum we can get right now, but maybe one day?!?
BF also says two is enough, but in truth I think he is only afraid that he is going to do the bunny duty for more resident bunnies when I am travelling, and surely it isn't fair from me to get the bunnies and then have him do the work (even if it comes to a max of 30-35 days a year I guess).
I don't go to rabbit shows (I think they're cruel!) but when I visit my bunnysitter, who fosters bunnies for 2 local shelters, I find myself often on the verge of adopting again!!!
