Maybe you read about the dead gray whale near here that had all the junk in it's stomach. Quite a few gray whales come into Puget Sound waters to feed during their migration north. Some are here for a long time and are recognized by various colorings, marks, etc. Because they feed on the bottom in these fairly shallow waters, they do suck up a lot of whatever is down there - and the commercial and recreational boating is very heavy. The junk we throw in the water .... Hopefully the publicity will help up the heat on the "Save Puget Sound by 2020" campaign. Have you ever read about the Albatrosses on the Bikini and Midway Atolls?
