One house, Two people, Five Rabbits! (Oh - and a cat.)
The sound of wrapper opening means treat potential. For Mick, it's usually the sound of me chopping anything, because he thinks it means he's getting carrot bits.
Yes, my rabbits like the sound of wrappers as well. They will do the Bunny Blitz and attack anyone who has something crinkly in their hands. They will also stuff their heads into boxes, bags, bowls, whatever and cannot be shooed or pushed away. Princess probably LOVES the way a bagel smells in the toaster! MMMmm bagels. Mmmm Princess. MMMMmm Princess bagels. What is better than a Princess bagel? A CHICO bagel. I guess that would be a tortilla, though. Mmmmm Chico in a tortilla....
Yes, definitely the sound of the wrapper, makes the same sound as the treat bag. Doesn't matter what's inside of it - always worth investigating just in case. Pepper got one whole blueberry this morning instead of two halves - he really thought he'd been cheated poor fluff.
Mine like the sound of the water in the kitchen sink and chopping. It means a salad is coming! Rabbits are always aware!
But if I just SAY bagel her ears perk up!
Hahaha! She likes that word!
rabbits are so bright! For Anya it was always dandelions or the rustling of a paper bag. Mind you we never tried her with 'bagel'
brandi ... sorry to interrupt this Princess moment ... your wooly bun in your profile picture is stunningly beautiful! Do you have to clip his or her fur?
I brush him with a flea comb almost every other day, and I always come away with enough floof to make another bunny. He is a Jersey Woolly and has a very floofy, long, silky coat. And I do give him a haircut every week or so, around his butt and feet because he is messy. I also have to feel him up for clumps of felt on his dewlap. He gets his wool wet and rolls around and then there is a nice big ball of felt that needs to be plucked/cut to prevent it from getting waterlogged. I have the worst fear of fly strike!IF I let his floof grow to full length, he would look like this:http://rabbitbreeding.info/the-new-jersey-wooly-%E2%80%93-a-fuzzy-bunny-who%E2%80%99s-easy-to-groom/Easy to groom my arse...
OH MY! What a sweet, gorgeous floof! I'm always afraid of fly strike because of Jamal's stinky poopy bum ... I seem to run his bum under the water so much he must hate me ... but in a couple of hours he's all poopy again. He has that felt matting around his hind quarters and he's a fancy french harlequin... but he has wool like an arctic wolf around his bum! Fine, thinner hair up front but his hiney is prepared for ice sledding!
The Princess KNOWS!
