STANLEY ... JUNE 2005 - JUNE 10, 2008

Bunny Lady's precious Stanley died early this morning. :<(

Stanley came to us as a baby and had respiratory problems from his earliest days. He did well until the past week, when he struggled a great deal, even though he had adequate doses of pain relief medication.

It is so sad to not have Stanley here anymore, but he is so much more peaceful looking in death than he was in his past few days, so in that way we are much relieved. We will miss the special guy.

Rest In Peace Stanley.

Rest little sweet bunny

Goodnight, my angel, time to close your eyes
And save these questions for another day.
I think I know what you've been asking me;
I think you know what I've been trying to say.
I promised I would never leave you,
And you should always know, wherever you may go,
No matter where you are, I will never be far away.
Goodnight, my angel, now it's time to sleep,
And still so many things I want to say.
Remember all the songs you sang for me
When we went sailing on an emerald bay?
And like a boat out on the ocean, I'm rocking you to sleep.
The water's dark, and deep inside this ancient heart,
You'll always be a part of me.
Goodnight, my angel, now it's time to dream,
And dream how wonderful your life will be.
Someday your child may cry, and if you sing this lullaby,
Then in your heart there will always be a part of me.
Someday we'll all be gone, but lullabies go on and on . . .
They never die.
That's how you and I will be.

I'm so sorry you've lost one of your little friends! It sounds like it was his time, but it's always too soon for us.

Wishing Stanley fields of green clover, and wishing peace to you, Bunny Lady, and all Stanley's friends who remain behind. :-(

Oh, Stanley. Dance with those lovely feet in rabbit heaven. Look up my dear pal Bunnyman--he's a good guy to hang out with.

I'm so sorry--it's hard to lose a bunny pal.

Oh no... all of us over here are so sorry for your loss. At least Stanley had a full and very happy life with you guys, and he's no longer in pain now. (In fact, I'm sure he's doing binkies with El-ahrairah right now.)

Requiescat in Pace, Stanley.
