LITTLE LUCKY ...

This was Lucky when he was only about 10 weeks old. One ear up and one ear down! Classic baby Holland Lop! Now he is a big boy ... teenager I suppose.

Lots of people told us to get hardwood floors. Then the loose fur just balls up and floats under the chairs! But wait ... we do have that faux hardwood in the kitchen and entry and those bunnies prissy foot over that stuff on their tippy toes like it's new ice! How do they get up a good gallup on hardwood?

The I-net seems real slow tonight ... everybody home and blogging instead of out on the towns maybe. Be careful everyone ... it sounds horrid in many places.

I see The Blog of Pratt is due back Jan 1. I guess it is much awaited ... it has been off the air the past several weeks. wOOt for Pratt!

Tidbit could definitely get up a good head of steam at our old place where we had carpets. The carpets also held the fur nicely so it didn't blow around. But it also was nearly impossible to get out of the carpet. Even a shop vac only did so much.

With hardwoods, it seems we're picking up drifting bunny fur all day long. But it does help us control bunny access better. Tid doesn't like to walk on the floors, so we simply lay down rugs where we don't mind her going and don't put rugs where she doesn't belong.

It works, sort of. Bunnies are such willful little creatures!

I'm glad to have found your blog, I'm having bunny withdrawal symptoms after losing our bunny earlier this year! You have some lovely bunnies here!

Love the ears Lucky! I've lived with a few different floorings with a rabbit. Short wall to wall carpet is preferred by the lagomorph.Though it made cleaning for the move-out intense. For a bit I lived in a totally hardwood floor studio and Bandit stayed under the bed until I bought lots of seagrass matting to make bunny trails, then she was happy. Here at Boyfriend's house we've connected the big rugs with fiber runners and pieces of seagrass so Tyler can have a decent track. Love to see a rabbit run!

Our whole apartment is wall-to-wall carpeting, so Sammy doesn't have any prblems find purchase to race around! It's when he hits the kitchen linoleum, that he makes like Bambi on the ice! You Lucky is so adorable - love the ears!!

Niblet definitely hates the wood floors. He stays on his big area rugs only, which is an easy way to keep him from getting into too much trouble. (he's a cord chewer extraordinaire) Your Lucky is so cute!

BTW, I tagged you--hope you don't mind! Please stop by my birding blog if you have a mo.

I remember you were asking about Mocha's breed. She was a mix. I think she had a Holland Lop in her, I can't be too sure. She used to do that often, one ear up and one ear down. Hee. And she had short legs. Man, I miss her. Lucky's adorable. I think I'd have the best time at your house.

Awww, what an adorable picture of little Lucky! I have little bits of regular floor too and I definitely slip and slide on those. Once I knocked myself into the radiator! Bunny Mommy and Daddy were scared but it didn't hurt!

Flolly get along okay on hardwood and other hard surfaces, but really prefer carpet for racing and gymnastic feats. I have laminate in the kitchen, which took them some getting used to. They dislike that even more than hardwood or the vinyl tiles in the previous place.

The problem with hardwood and laminate is whenever I turn on a ceiling fan I have fur balls flying all over the place! They are also tough to sweep up. I have to use a dust buster for them. My Hoover upright works good on the rugs. Hay is a bit tougher. I don't serve hay on carpet. I highly recommend having a Swiffer handy for hard floors. The bunny fuzz just clings to it and it can reach under furniture where it gathers even more bunny fuzz!

My hardwoods are darn cold on *my feet* in the winter. Brrr. *I* want more carpet.

Dern captchas are not showing in Firefox - had to redo this entirely in IE bah!
