I HEARD ABOUT THE GREAT DEBATE ....

Lucky is rechecking his ballot and reports that neither candidate had a single stick of their platform that represented advancement for Rabbits. McCain seems like a dog guy and OBama a cat person. At least they are both against ear marks ... so are we. Benson had one because he was a show bunny and loser show bunnies have a sad fate.

That was a pile of Goldie's fur that came out in yesterdays grooming session. Just the way it balled up and sat in that pile makes it look kinda like Goldie .. maybe! Spinning and knitting are not particularly up Bunny Lady's alley, so we don't collect the fur ... but it sure collects on everything around here. Our house is all set for Halloween!

The toes belonged to Winston! It was not really fair. You can't tell them apart unless you see the white on Racer's nose or back toes.

Really folks ... here are a bunch of Brits gathered in a pleasant field on a beautiful day, playing and singing (mostly) recognizable tunes turned into bunny lyrics. A courageous lot. You buy it for whatever you want to pay ($15 or more) and all that money goes to whatever Bunny Rescue site you want it to go to. A tax write off as well. Tell 'em Zoey and Boogey sent ya!

Well fudge .... I surely do not understand the logic used by blogger to decide where to put pictures .. what order. But then, there are lots of things I don't understand... anybody care to guess who this is ?????

We bought a new toaster about a month ago. It works great but we should have waited. Now they give you a bank when you buy one!!!!

Winston is doing some renovation work ... I notice that these bunnies seem to continually remodel until the whole thing collapses ... then they keep right on chewing anyway. Fortunately Bunny Lady feels fresh boxes are a must, so we keep every bunn in good practice.

RG is pretty sure this is NOT the picture that the mystery-photo was cropped from, but he is pretty sure it was me. I am checking out some produce specials at the local market. Carrots are looking good. As are banananas ...

I took Hopscotch off the blog list over at the left ... no new posts for many many moons ... bummer, that used to be fun to watch. I added Furry Butts and Mats with bunny.nu from Sweden ... I have this "back" list of bunny blogs I look at from time to time, but most are quite dormant or sporadic or sometimes rather strange. If one stays good and active for awhile, I will move it up front here!

Racer is in the little cage because it was condo cleaning time and it was also raining chickens outside. So he gets to go in here while his condo gets the maid-service. He likes to look over the top, but doesn't try to escape.

We hear Savannah was on Swedish TV .. well OK .. somebody stuck her on their TV in Sweden, but could not do a picture so we just have to take their word for it .. but still ...

Gosh dang, the bunnies here at the House of Rabbits are all just a grooming themselves like crazy and looking here and there for choice photo-ops. One would think they are hoping to be Stuck Up!!!

The STICKY BUNS Caper has now officially started. Stick up your bunny somewhere cool (Do try to stay out of trouble while doing so) and take a picture. Post it on your blog and leave a comment here or there.

If it all works, we'll grab that picture and put it here. If you want to, give your picture more location identification (Like "Fuzzy on the back of Bono's Limo") and we'll include that.

So GET GOING and check that "here" site now and then.

Oh and remember that "Talk Like a Pirate Day" is coming Sept. 19, so maybe work that in too ....

THE GOOD RABBIT .....

Savannah has spent many, many nights and parts of days ... sometimes all day ... in her inside pen with this nice wooden windowsill. She has made but two tiny nibbles on it. In the meantime she has demolished untold cardboard boxes and debarked hundreds of twigs and apple sticks. Eaten several of those Pier 1 willow balls and several legs, including replacements, from a little stick table.

S-bob is Bunny Lady's Bunny. The two can snuggle and cuddle lots. I just talk to her a bit ... "Hi Savannah. Savannnnnaaaahhhh. You are a pretty bunny Savannah." That's it. She looks at me.

THE CALM OF THE EYE ......

However, as you can plainly see, Disapproval radiates for miles and miles from the Eye of Hurricane Baxter !!!


NAH .. just kidding ..... Baxter is the softest, cuddliest, laid-back bunny of The House! If he disapproves, he is very subtle about it. Not like Winston, who actually "Bit the hand that feeds him" this evening. When Winnie and Lucky come in from outside to go back in their condo, I do the Luckster and BL does Winnie. I think that is about to change!

This morning I took a look at Disapproving Rabbits and sort of rapidly scrolled down through about 5 posts .. the pictures. What a horrid start to a day ... rapid fire, unrelenting disapproval!

IT'S SURE NOT STARBUCKS ......

I thought I ordered a double yogurt, banana topped, triple thick, craisin whirred, pineapple whiz with a nasturtium blossom - oh, and a parasol.

All there is, is this naked bean-dipped dishwater without even a diaper. Must be RG's ....... at least it is hot. "Spina" ... anybody know what that means?

This may be the weekend to break the ice on Sticky Bunns ... which is the name of the caper .. by almost unanimous vote! I think Baxter and/or Zoey might get stuck-up somewhere! Stay tuned and for gosh sakes, get your bunnies out there!

IT RAINED AWHILE BACK ....

Savannah has a great spot to sit out the rainy dribble here ... but now, we have had a week or more of really nice weather, with a week more to come! Finally ......

Listen. the Avery 3383 sticky-back paper is the type that is easy to remove and so good to use for sticky bunns! I can't get it here in our little town so I plan to print on plain paper or card stock and just use some tape. We don't want to be accused of defacing anything ... =:(

Myhouserabbit has a cute example of "almost" Sticky Bunns! Take a peek .. it certainly is the idea we are after!

THE HELP HERE IS PATHETIC ....

You would think the maintenance guy would get right on this, what with the rainy season coming and all ...
Bunny Lady and a friend went crabbing the other day ... this is a GINORMOUS Dungeness - legal is anything beyond the last notch on the right there; it is rare to get a crab bigger than the gauge! They brought home limits! 5 each. There are very large, very dangerous claws right up front, this guy just happens to have them turned so they can't be seen. 15-20 minutes in boiling, lightly salted water.

Looks like Sticky Bunns is the preferred name of our adventure .. now awaiting some stick-ups! Ready, Set, Go .... we'll cobble out a Mission Statement as we go along!

Gosh, Zoey got a nice wonderful mushy compliment from Boogey in Baton Rouge today. But Zoey is all spoken for .. by me and the Bax. She is quite happy with the arrangement too, so will remain an affectionate pen-pal of Boogey. Thanks just the same Boogey Boy.

You may have read about the horrible rampage shooting here in Skagit County yesterday - right near The House if Rabbits it was. Sad and tragic. RG was caught up in the police chase ... cops going both ways in droves on the Freeway. Glad we and all we know are OK.

WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM FRIENDS .....

This is me, Baxter. I do look like Benji, but I am MUCH bigger - I am a Mini-Lop while Benji is a Holland. From under the table here I must clarify what Benji so eloquently said ...

Once the details get worked out, you are to use a picture of your bunny, make it fairly big, and stick it someplace strange or different .. like Tyler and Sydney were stuck onto a hydrant and a dumpster! Then post a picture of it on your blog. RG is going to get ahold of those pix and put them on a Web-page too and everybody can see that and do whatever they do with those things ...

A GRAND BUNNY PRONOUNCEMENT ....

Here I am, Benji, up on my "box" to give a brief speech.

There is an "idea" being floated that all 2-foots that have bunns should put a big picture of their bunn or bunns in some strange place and then take a picture of it to share!

If it works out, Rabbits' Guy, who lives here and apparently does not have enough to do, will make a web page and put those pictures on there, so we can see them all together and share them with our friends and so forth!

The lady that cares for Tyler and Sydney is cooking up the official rules and methods, so maybe she will have more important stuff about it. For example, we need a Mission statement and probably an official name, like "Bunns in Strange Places" or whatever else we can get going for us.

Maybe for now be thinking about this golden opportunity to make a great mark upon the world, and stand by for more info .... post up (or comment) any good ideas you have!
