"Our beautiful Japanese Maple - one of the few trees/shrubs here when we arrived 11 years ago.  It has grown well and is spectacular in the fall.  (That is one of several espaliered apple trees back there in the neighbor's yard.  She is a master gardener.  I am a trial-and-error gardener!"

"I'm not a movie fan, BL is.  But this movie has been getting really great reviews.  Two of the characters are Cora and Mark.  I believe it has been virtually unknown until now, here, but Cora and Mark live in Anacortes, the town right next door to us.  And Cora is a lady we have known for many years - she works at one of our local Conservation groups - and is a really nice and un-assuming person!  We did not know it either until a recent article in our local paper!" - RG the Amazed.
