(There is a BIG effort to improve the health of Puget Sound. Our county has a small river - the Samish - that is heavily polluted from animal manure during heavy rains - of which we have 10 or 12 per year. We are part of an active group working to get the officials to fix the problems. It has caused closure of some very productive commercial shellfish beds. Our Governor is not happy. She sent a "posse the likes of which I never seen before" up today to look things over and devise a "fix-it quick" action plan. We got to tell them a thing or two. BL is a GOOD teller! I'm a wuss.)

We just learned that Freckles, from "Freckles and Deb" has died. RIP special Bunny. Freckles was one of the very first bunnies we met on the web. Freckles had a great life - most of it told in Deb's stories.
