STILL LAYING LOW ....

See the bunny in there? Princess in the upper floor of her chalet. About the way I spent the weekend! But ... I am doing better. Sneezing and wheezing done.Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas for improving my health. If I tried them all I could write a book. So ... I didn't - but some. Besides, your good thoughts pulled me through!

As for Cadbury .. I can hardly keep track of that boy ... what a good little traveler. I have been following his people on their vacation through the South West .. between you and me, I prefer some of the locations Cadbury has been!!!!

LAYING LOW ....

If I was a bunny, today I would be Baxter. Just lay low in the sun. Maybe this cold will get better over a quiet weekend!

Looks like Cadbury is having a grand time ... I hear he is at Fidget's house next. Not sure where after that - maybe leave your request over there.

GOT THE BAD SNIFFLES:

RG has got a cold ... feeling pretty punky ... no blog reading. Well - just enough to see that Cadbury is sure having the time of his life. W00T to all his hosts and hostesses! May he get back home in time for his people return! I guess somebody will keep track of that and tell Cad-B when to go home ... right??? I'm staying pretty in and down .. about like smart Chico here ....

ENTERTAINING CADBURY ...

This is Savannah showing Cadbury how fast she can find and snatch a yogurt drop .. her head is but a blur of bunny speed! Here is Cadbury ... fixed in position, waiting for the next drop to drop!!!

My but the bunns have gone overboard with Cadbury ... sharing greens, sharing stories, and mostly all sitting placidly, staring off into some distant vision ... as bunnies tend to do. It has been fun.

Cadbury will be getting on the train to Tyler and Sydney's place and will be there soon. From then on it is up to the receiving household to entertain, report on the doings, find the next destination, and send Cadbury happily along ..... plenty of bunny-homes have requested a visit!

FREE CADBURY .....

As most of you know by now, Cadbury, a bunny in Houston, Texas, has been left at a VET for two weeks by his 2-foots while they go an a vacation! This is a despicable situation, according to the House of Rabbits rabbits - Baxter as spokesman - and so a discrete and elite team of bunny-jailbreak-experts have spirited Cadbury here to the House of Rabbits for a short stay!Cadbury is having a great time, as are we!!!!! The photo shows Cadbury obviously having a good time!
Our idea is to shuffle good old Cad around, to other Bunny homes who would also like to have him for a short time. Knowing that Tyler and Sydney have always expressed a keen interest in Cadbury, he has tickets on the Amtrack Starlight Express and should be there in a day or so for his next visit. I guess we'll see where he goes after that!

"Follow the Bunn" fun!

Stainless Steel and Black ....

Our kitchen stove died a few days ago .. we have propane. Not too many choices for propane stoves in a small town. BL got one with a black cooktop and stainless steel front ... very classy looking. I guess keeping it looking nice/clean is going to be a horrid chore ............. tips? (Hey ... "Don't use it" is NOT an option here.)

Have you seen/heard that Cadbury's People (BunnyGirl) are going on vacation and leaving Cadbury behind? We have some big plans for poor ol' Cad. Hope some of you can help us out! Stay tuned and ready .. In the meantime, shhhhhhhh.

REMEMBERING ARCHI ANN .....

I think it was just a year ago when Archi Ann died. Archi was a special bunny and a Dutchie with a real attitude. She was the first bunny on the blogosphere I got to know well and we had a good time with Archi. You are gone from us Archi, but not forgotten.

In the meantime, Baxter and Zoey are in the "sun-zone" ............

WAITING FOR THE BUNNY CONVEY .....

If you've been to Seattle, or just studied it's idiosyncrasies, you know of a public sculpture called "Waiting For The Interurban" (shown below.) It is usually festooned with decorations/clothing for the season or occasion. Well, this is Goldie and Benji "Waiting for the Bunny Convey" ... their trip back in for petting and some fresh oats! Festooning is not permitted!

PROMISE KEPT ...

When we first moved here ... before any thought of Rabbits ... there was virtually no landscaping. Just a couple of trees and a couple of plants. BL wanted lilacs out her bedroom window .. to see and to smell. That's the window ... she's got them!" Can't eat 'em .. gimme dandelions anytime."

NOODLES FROM MICHIGAN ....

BL makes a couple dishes with Noodles that are killer. But ... if she does not make the noodles herself, then these are the "must haves". Can't get them around here any more. These came from Meijers in Michigan via the I-net. Noodles across 2/3 of the country by UPS. Worth it!!! No, I am not fat ... my muscles are all relaxed - "ummmmmmm". Yes, I have another front paw ... I'm saving it. Yes, those are a few doots around ... the help is atrocious. Now ... unless you have a treat, go away.

My computer setup is up in the loft area .. I oversee EVERYTHING!!! Somebunny is thumping down there .. I better go see what I screwed up now.

THE TOLERACER ...

It was a dreary, wet day today so the bunns stayed inside. But it cleared a bit when condo cleaning time came so BL put Racer out while she cleaned his digs. Just after he got out there a HUGE hail squall swept through! He was under the big covered area, but what a noise ... the poor little guy. She dashed out and grabbed him and I held him while she finished the clean-up. I NEVER hold Racer ... he is a BL guy. He tolerated .. knowing that the fresh hay and some oats were coming .....

MUNCHIN' O THE GREEN .....

There are HUGE dandelions growing along the fence-line. Baxter is enjoying his right out of the middle! (reminds me of the old joke of do you hold your cocktail at the top or at the bottom? No .. hold it in the middle so the brown paper bag doesn't slide off! .. Bwahahaha)

MR. WINSTON

For some reason, BL wanted a rabbit named Winston. This is he. One of The Boyz. Nice enough guy. Is not fond of my lap.

Nice weather for a change here ... lots of bees around the pear and apple blossoms. Last year it was very cold, windy, and wet right as the blossoms came and we did not get a lot of fruit. This year looking good!

ps - don't know about MORE fun, but Goldie does have her share!

GOLDALINA .....

Goldie's coat is doing pretty well .. about time for another good brush. We will trim a lot of it off once it starts being warmer outside.

She's a good "holder." She sticks her face in my chest, lets me hold her right paw with my left hand, and chitter-chatters to beat the band.

Hard times in our county ... more and more people, and friends, out of jobs. Many services and activities gone. Other than agriculture, we have very little sustainable industry/professions. Most; like medical, stores and shops, construction, services ... depend on everybody being employed with money to spend. Once the housing bust, then house construction slowed here and everything else is going like dominoes. Tax revenues are down by 35 % and more so all city and county staffs are whittled away and let go. We need more on-going, clean, higher-education jobs and industries .. our city/county mothers and fathers don't see it that way. They want more electricians, boat builders, and Wal-marts. Pffftttttt ..............

Another late meeting last night .. actually Science Night at the local High School. What's with SO many more girls than boys into Science these days?
