ART OF THE BUNNY ....

- Savannah -
.
.
Maybe you read about the dead gray whale near here that had all the junk in it's stomach. Quite a few gray whales come into Puget Sound waters to feed during their migration north. Some are here for a long time and are recognized by various colorings, marks, etc. Because they feed on the bottom in these fairly shallow waters, they do suck up a lot of whatever is down there - and the commercial and recreational boating is very heavy. The junk we throw in the water .... Hopefully the publicity will help up the heat on the "Save Puget Sound by 2020" campaign. Have you ever read about the Albatrosses on the Bikini and Midway Atolls? Eeeewww - maybe you do not want to.

GOOD NEWS BUNNS .....
" Princess - did you see those seeds up there? What do you think? Excited? Look good, huh?""RG - you see this thing by my nose?"
"Sure Princess - but why change the subject?"
"Well, do you think a rabbit would like this thing very much?"
"Uh - no - I see your point there. That is a cat toy."
"And those seed packets are to be loved by rabbits??? Psshhaawww ... Come back when you have a symphony RG."

RUNNING REPORT ....
There was a running race Saturday - the annual Tulip Run. 5 miler. You may remember last report: I had managed 4 miles at an average pace of 11' 20" per mile - all flat ground.
Well - THIS race was hilly and had about 700 runners to egg me on. I finished at an average pace of 10' 50" !!! I was ecstatic - a long ways to go but good progress for sure.
"I can't bear to look at him Winston - is he just a total wreck?" "Oh my no, don't look Lucky - it is very sad."

NOT A GOOD PLAN ...
BL is cleaning the condo of Baxter and Zoey. It is nasty outside -I am holding my Zoey, Zoey :<)So, Baxter gets the cage - too small. (Actually, Baxter would sit quietly in the chair, but I think maybe BL is worried he might jump down and then go under the couch and then ..... )
... "No I would not" .... Baxter

BUNNY MONTAGE ....

Zoey sees Racer. Racer does not see Zoey. Racer sees the wall. Racer's Avatar sees Zoey. Actually Zoey sees a cord.
Don't jump, Zoey!
Anybody see the cover of the New Yorker for April 5? ALL bunnies! But - some were smiling. I wrote them a letter about that - they won't publish it.
Finally - a new addition to Sticky Bunns! Some of you folks who have never "Stuck Up your Bunn" might want to give it a try! We all enjoy the results!

I REMIND ME OF SOMEONE .....
The deadly explosion at the Tesoro Refinery in Anacortes is only a few miles from us. It happened in the night and we were not aware of it. We are a small-population area up here and everyone knows someone who works at one of the two refineries. It's a nasty business - large tankers come and go bringing crude from Alaska and taking out gasoline and jet fuel - a big spill would be disastrous for Puget Sound. Most folks up here are very conflicted about the whole business.
