ONE GIANT STEP FOR BUNNYHOOD ....

"I don't know that I'm up to it" - Winston

How about some goldfinches at the feeder.

I took some blogs off the list to the right, and I added some. I was sorry to see some go, but there has been no activity for so long, I figure things have gone in another direction. If there are some suggestions of other adds, let me know.

may i humbly submit my blog for link approval? http://rabbitflops.blogspot.com/

Also, I recommend a list of all the rabbits and other characters (humans, cats) on the right column.

We have small, grungy finches. Yours are better. We've got more politicians though. I'd rather have the finches. Or Winston!

Go Winston! You can do it!

Lovely goldfinches. I rarely see any here in my yard, but they love the side of the barn up at Burritt Museum and flit through the barnyard area creating a delightful sight. Most of what I get here are house finches. One once tried to build a nest in a eucalyptus wreath I had on the front door, but finally settled for a hanging basket on the front porch. Yesterday I was pleased to have a chickadee supervise my filling of the bird feeder to make sure it was done properly.

You can do it Winston!!

I don't think I've ever seen a finch outside of pet stores (unless sparrows are in the finch family)?

I rarely see anything but pigeons in the city, and at my parents' house, usually just sparrows and a lot of sea gulls closer to the water (we're about 5 minutes away). Canadian geese, swans, ducks, nothing exciting. Sometimes we'll see a morning dove, red winged blackbirds, cardinals, blue jays, robins, but I think that's about it.

Wish there were pretty yellow birds around here!

One giant binkie for bunnykind!

Winston is so modest and unassuming, unsure that he is representative of bunkind.

My sister gets a lot of finches at her feeder until the hawk shows up.

Winston is truly adorable. Do anyone want him? He's in a gay relationship now, so I think he can go either way.

You are sending Winston off as a mail order bride?

I'm sure you would have bunny servants lining up for miles to take Winston and his husbun, if you ever did want to find him a new home! I have two girl "roommates." I think they chose each other because they are both evil to every other bunny. They don't fight each other, though. Two alpha females, for sure.

With Winston, you also get Lucky, a cat, and maybe BL!

Lisa said...

RG!!!!!! Bite your tongue. Do you want to sleep on the couch for the rest of your life?

I don't know why you would want to be rid of any of your family, much less those four members specifically. That said, BL, if RG decides to keep being a butthead, you are most welcome to bring Winston, Lucky and KB to New York! (and then Jon will kick out me, Biff and Sogna!)

LOS said...

Hey folks ... how about this package: Winston (aka Diablo Negro) and RG (along with his big fennel)? Do I have any takers?

Thank you, Lisa, I find your support very comforting at a time like this.

LOS said...

Where in New York do you live, Lisa? That is, after all, the publishing capital ... and now that I am almost a published writer. Do I have to bring the others?

Friend of the Animals said...

RG. If BL was gone you would probably starve, or be eating lots of boxed mac n cheese. Besides there will be NO giving away of any animal or person! It's just wrong...

Then again, if anyone is giving away free people it will be me. Anyone wanting a unemployed adult male??? Will trade for rabbit.

LOS said...

Well ... FOA ... will consider trade. But, how's his fennel?

This silly word verification sure inhibits spontaneous creativity, doesn't it?!

Good grief! Can't leave you two along for 24 hours without some kind of bickering going on these days. Just look what has happened since I commented on this post on 7/29!

Now, everybody needs to stay just where they are. Well, I wouldn't mind Winston, Lucky, KB, and BL. But I already have a big fennel of my own here in Huntsville. Anyway, RG, you would be sorry if you had to get along without those folks, KB included.

Uh, just how big is that fennel, really?

Hef's Mom said...

Since everyone is trading can I trade a big zucchini for a big fennel?
I'm going to keep Hef's Dad, Shadow, and Hef, thanks anyway.
And RG I was just gone 5 days and Hef's dad was sad, he said it was like I was dead! So just think about that!
