THE GREAT ESCAPE ...

In the late afternoon we close the necessary rooms off, and open the gate to The Princess's pen. It usually is not long before she "hops out" and makes her rounds. She is amazingly tidy .. no marking - she only likes to chew on a rug and sometimes the underneath of the seat of that quasi-antique rocker we have. She will tour all her space many times and sometimes come close enough for a pet. She never jumps up on anything. Eventually she heads back into her pen, knowing that the joint has been cleaned and the pellet bowl refreshed and topped with a bit of oats. She LOVES her oats!

She's a good one - that Princess :<)

Awww, Princess! She rules the House with an iron paw, but yet she's such a sweet, lovely bunny at heart :)

What a good girl that she goes back home on her own! I always have to chase mine for half an hour to get them in:)

Do you ever just leave her out, since she's so trustworthy?

We should all be more like Princess.

When its time for Hef to head back to the Bunny Lounge I let him hop up the stairs and he turns right and into his cage. All I have to do is shut the door behind him. Hef's Dad did this the other day but hadn't left the cage door open and Hef kept hopping around the whole cage looking for the door!

It must feel secure knowing your house patrolled by a rabbit.

Look folks .. she's a rabbit. NO we am not leaving her out unattended ... I have a fear of what "house patrolled by Rabit means"! We have a couple of friends with that service .. they have plywood floors and old ratty throws on all the furniture ... the drywall is gone to four feet up. They are nice people.

And yes Ilex ... if everyone was like The Princess I would be quite happy ... except for the part where she gives me that "Look".

My buns love their oats too! I have 3 free roam bedroom buns. They have various handicaps so they arent destructive at all. My other trio live in a huge house. There is room for people to get in with them. They are allowed out for 5 or 6 hours a day and all go back in their house for supper. Your bunnies get out for exercise, that is the important thing. They are obviously loved and well taken care of.
