RACER'S FLAG ....

"Some time ago, Racer got promised his own flag - I think after Speedy maybe had one of his own - by a Knitting Bunny Group (with some human help) in Texas.  (At least I think that is how this worked.  I really am a bit confused over it all.)  He said his colors were black and white.  Yesterday he got a package from Texas."

"It is huge and soft and gorgeous - alpaca yarn - and I think the alpaca yarn might be from Seattle and many alpacas are raised near us, for their wool.  It is big enough for a sail, a flag, a table runner, and a couple of napkins - altogether!  It is so totally Racer!"
"BL will give some thought to where and how to properly display it.  For now, this is it.  I am pretty sure Racer is bursting with pride of ownership!"
"There was a little something in there for KB too." - Astounded RG
"Ho Ho Ho - Now - GO AWAY." - In the Spirit KB

That could only be from Jane. She thinks KB hung the moon. She is a bit fond of Racer, too.

A snuggly flag for a cuddly Racer!

Racer, don't listen to Crafty, an epithet whose true meaning I had not suspected. She is usually so nice. RG, those are amazing pictures. How did you get KB to mock his postcard? You know, KB, we all know that Racer isn't yachting anywhere, but, well, I think you get my drift. Austin awaits.

Scotland vs Texas: An unbiased comparison by an Oklahoman

A. Geography:
Scotland - hills, mountains, forests, woodlands, moors, lochs, beautiful coastlines
Texas - flat, dusty, scrub prairie, desert, plague of locusts, grimy/oily coastline

B. Weather:
Scotland - rainy, cool, snowy
Texas - hot, dry, hot, hot, tornadoes, hot, hurricanes to the south, ice on the panhandle, hot

C. Cuisine:
Scotland - Neeps and Tatties, haggis, mutton, whisky
Texas - BBQ, beer, TexMex, MexMex, Chili, whisky (Sorry, Scotland, but Texas wins this one hands down)

D. Culture:
Scotland - Rugged, potty mouthed, short tempered, reputation for being "pissed" - aka drunk- a lot
Texas - Rugged, potty mouthed, short tempered, reputation being "shit faced" - aka drunk - a lot.

E. History:
Scotland - Lifted their kilts and waved their peckers to the Crown. Remains a free people. (source: Braveheart)
Texas - Stolen from Mexico. Mexico currently stealing it back. (source: Remember the Alamo and Fox News)

F. Entertainment:
Scotland - Soccer
Texas - Football. Unfortunately, University of Texas football.

G. People:
Scotland - Scots
Texas - Texans
This is a definite win for Scotland...

SO...Racer, you have read my totally unbiased comparison between Scotland and Texas. The choice is yours alone. Choose wisely.

Poor Racer - with a brain about the size of half a pea.

Brandi, I hope you are not waiting for me to disagree. It never crossed my mind that Racer would voyage to Texas. I just know he is not going to Scotland either. He is exactly where he wants to be the paradise known as HOR. Your assessment is nevertheless going to be very useful to the less wary.

RG, unacceptable, very unacceptable!
